A prayer for the broken .

Father God, in Jesus name. I come to you on behalf of the broken today, Lord God. Those who have been emotionally, mentally, sexually and physically abused by a family member, a spouse, a friend, themselves or anybody. God, I ask you to hear this person’s cry, from the depth of their soul. Comfort them with your Spirit and heal them with your love. Let them know, that you’re here to help them pick up the pieces and move forward with their life. Keep them from replaying the hurt and the betrayal in their minds, and teach them to focus on you. Let them know that even now, in the midst of what they’re going through, you have a plan for their life. For you’ve said, in Jeremiah 29:11, your plans for for them are good and not evil, and to give them hope and a future. Lord, let them know that they don’t have to be a victim, through you they are victorious! They can more than conquer any negative words spoken against them, or any force sent to stop them. Let them know that even now, in all the pain they’re feeling, the weapon formed still won’t prosper, because you can turn their pain into purpose. Let them know that you know their pain Jesus, remind them that you went through unimaginable pain, and yet you died for us when we were your enemies. Let them know that you love them that much! I pray that they completely allow you in their hearts, so that you can live their pain away. When they feel as though no one loves them or cares, God let them remember you. You sent your own son to die in our place, and He rose again, so that we can live. Lord, help them to release the anger. Don’t allow them to continue the vicious cycle of hurt people, hurt people. Free them God, and let them know that vengeance is yours! You said in your Word, that you will repay! Keep their minds from dwelling on who did it and why. Help them to stop looking for an apology that may never come, and give them peace of mind, so that they will move forward and live the life for which you’ve purposed. In the name of Jesus, I declare that depression, anxiety and fear has to go! Increase their faith, Jesus. Help them to meditate on your Word. I pray that they give whatever load they’re carrying to you! Give them the strength to forgive, so that they can be free! Don’t allow them to continue giving power to those people and those demonic forces sent to oppress them. I pray that these individuals accept you in their hearts and that they receive your peace. Let them know that they don’t have to carry their past into their future. The enemy thought he had them, but in Jesus name, I decree and declare freedom in their hearts, in their minds and in their souls. God, fill them with your Spirit. Deliver them from the bondage of their past. Give them a clean heart. Heal their wounds. Mend their broken hearts, and give them beauty for ashes! In the unmatched name of Jesus Christ! Amen. Isaiah 61:1-3

“The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me, because the Lord has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners,

to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor and the day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn,

3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.
