Evening prayer for a weary heart.

God we need your strength to get through. We understand that life has seasons of ups and downs, but sometimes the downs are too much to bear, and the season is way too long; we need you to carry us through. When the pressures of the world is too much, take us to that secret place where we can hide in you. When our hearts are broken, remind us that you’re with us in that moment. When our thoughts are racing and anxiety creeps in, give us that peace that surpasses all understanding. When we face attack after attack, and there’s no letting up, remind us that the battle is already won, and all we need to do is trust in you. When we’ve prayed and prayed for a way out of a situation, if it’s not your will to take us out of it, give us peace in it, Jesus. Give us the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to navigate our journey and fulfill our own destiny, instead of comparing ourselves to others. Show us how to use what we have, in this moment, for your glory. Lord we thank you for the angels you’ve encamped around us to keep us in all of our ways. We thank you for protecting us from dangers seen and unseen. We praise you, even in the midst of our battles. We know that there’s no problem that you can’t solve. Lord when our bodies are aching with pain, we know you to be our healer. When we don’t know how the bills are going to get paid, we know that you’ve made provisions; we believe you’re our provider. When people slander our names and pray on our downfall, let us be encouraged that we are more than conquerors, and they can form weapons all night and day, but they still won’t prosper. Father, help us to be encouraged in all things and by your Spirit. Let us not become so consumed with the size of our problems, that we forget the size of our God. For you are The Great I AM. You are our source, our strength, and our life. Forgive us for our sins. Thank you for your love, your mercy, and your grace. Thank you for being faithful to us, in the good and bad. We choose to live with a heart of gratitude instead of being crippled by worry and defeat. We know that we can do all things through Christ, and you will supply all of our needs. We thank you for all you’ve done. We give you the glory for what you’re doing, and we praise your name for what you’re about to do. We declare a shift in our situations, and all the glory belongs to you. In Jesus name. Amen.
