Have you ever wondered why God is taking so long to answer a specific prayer of yours? Maybe you’ve wondered if you’re praying the right prayers. Once we learn to open our hearts and minds to God’s Will, instead of being so firm about our own, we will see that sometimes the No, or not yet, is a blessing in disguise- perhaps even our protection.
God is out here protecting you from things seen and unseen! Don’t be upset when your prayers seem to go unanswered. The fact is, you may not be equipped to handle what you’re praying for, right now. It doesn’t mean it will never happen, but the things you’re going through right now is your training ground!
Read Matthew 25:14-30 (The Parable of the Bags of Gold)
If you are not faithful with what you have and where you are at this moment, how can God trust you with more? He can’t.
Oftentimes, we are trying to convince God to give us things that we think will make us happy and God is like, “No, because you still won’t be happy, in fact, if I gave you that, it would destroy you.”
We must remember that when we pray, we must be like Jesus when He prayed and say, “Father, not my will, but your will be done.”
We can only declare this if we understand who God is, and despite our desires, we trust that His plan for our life is greater than our idea of what happiness is.
God wants to give you the desires of your heart, but He will not give you something that will destroy you.
So, before you get upset with Him about a prayer you think He didn’t answer, thank Him for His protection. There’s no telling what He is saving you from. ❤️
Psalm 37:4 “Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”
I thank God for alot of the “No’s” he gives me. My ignorance and selfishness blinds me of the dangers of a “Yes”. Keep encouraging people Shubricca!
