Living water: Never thirst again.

The enemy will attack you in one area if he knows it will have a domino effect in every other area in your life. God will allow this attack until you take charge of your focus and learn to focus on Him. Everything we need can be attained by way of our focus in Christ. The Bible tells us in various scriptures, how to get what we need. When we get hit with life’s problems, be it big or small, it’s not money or earthly things we need, it’s not the wisdom of the world or even our own understanding, it’s the Spirit of God!

Think of a glass of water. Now imagine that water is the Holy Spirit, and the glass is you. Now imagine life issues, in the form of dirt, oil, poop, and trash. These things are surrounding the glass of water. Now, as long as these things are around the water and not in the water, the water is fine, but once the things around the glass of water, gets inside the glass, that’s where the problem begins.

The goal is to keep your glass filled, so that there’s no room for anything outside, to get in. We don’t live in a perfect world, so that doesn’t always happen. I mean, let’s face it, poop gets to us, amongst other things! So when we let the yucky stuff (cares of this world) in, it’s hard to only focus on God’s Spirit, because something else is there. Worry is there, doubt is there, fear is there… and the more we add these things to our cup (spirit), the less of the Holy Spirit we have.

We don’t ever want to get to the point of where our glass becomes empty of the Spirit of God, but just in case we do, He’s always nearby, ready to give us fresh water (a new anointing)! Hallelujah! Thank God for Jesus. Not only does He fill us with His Spirit, His blood cleans all the crap out of us. He gives us a clean heart, and we can start over.

If this isn’t good news, I don’t know what is! Let me ask you something. Where is your focus today? Is it on natural things? If so, you’re really in need of God’s Spirit.

The things and people of this world can’t satisfy like God’s Spirit. The Holy Spirit is what keeps us focused on God, and at peace, despite our earthly issues. Isaiah 26:3, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” Galatians 5:22-23, “But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!”

When all hell breaks loose, being equipped with the fruits of the Spirit is what gets us through, not money, because there will always be an issue money can’t solve. People are helpful, but they can’t solve your problems, because they have their own issues. Putting our hope in people is a setup for disaster. Depending on anything or anyone outside the Spirit of God, doesn’t suffice.

Focusing on anything except God, leads to misery. We just go from one issue to the next. Imagine trying to fix our “glass of poop” if you will, by adding perfume, or adding a lemon on top, or whipped cream and a cherry! It’s still a glass of poop. It still stinks, and trying to “fix our issues” ourselves, doesn’t help the inner issues we deal with.

We just look like some fancy poop… Inside we are toxic… If you’ve been trying to fix your life yourself, I know you’re exhausted… I’ve been there and done that… I even bought the crappy t-shirt… but then I found a better way, and His name is Jesus.

Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6), and I’m so glad He found me, and I accepted Him. Now, despite what I face, I have peace, and so can you! John 14:27 says, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”

The peace that God has given us, is better than the poop the world gives. The world gives us peace in the form of poop with a bow on it. Jesus gives us peace in the form of something pure, and full of life… Once you drink of it, you will never thirst again. John 4:14, “But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again. It becomes a fresh, bubbling spring within them, giving them eternal life.”

I pray peace over your heart, mind, and soul today. May your spirit become light as you allow the Holy Spirit to fill your cup, today and everyday. In Jesus name. Amen.

Romans 12:2, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Change your focus and you can change your life! (With the help of Christ, of course) ♥️
