The truth about being chosen.

When you’re chosen by God, you’re also set apart. Read any Bible story and you can see that the ones who God called, endured the most pain. They were rejected, mocked, laughed at, betrayed, hated on, and much worse… You see, God loves all His kids, but certain kids are chosen for certain tasks. God gives us grace for what we can handle… and before you say, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” therefore I can handle anything… well, maybe you can, but everyone can’t.

Therefore, I stand by,

God gives us grace for what we can handle.

People who are chosen for great tasks didn’t ask to be chosen; They were predestined for it. Sure, it looks great on paper, but wait until you read the fine print. It’s like a commercial for medicine.

You’ll get this benefit, but you’ll also suffer these side effects… 🥴 May cause loneliness, sadness, you may experience mistreatment, insults, confusion, anxiety, depression… See, nobody wants to be real, and tell the complete truth about being chosen. It’s not always sunshine and paradise. If it was up to many people, they would not volunteer to be chosen.

Again, read any Bible story and you will see that being chosen costs. Not many people can live with that price. It hits you hard, and sometimes it sets you back, but God is intentional. Sometimes a setback is necessary, in order for God to reposition you, and put you on the right path. Sometimes you have to lose some folks.

Sometimes you have to lose some money. 💸Sometimes you have to lose that attitude. 😬 A lot of times, things don’t go according to you’re plans. 😫Sometimes you question if God is really with you. 🚶🏾‍♀️Sometimes you don’t understand His plans.

You may even ask God, “why me?” Although being chosen is a blessing, oftentimes it feels like a curse. Being chosen is about believing more than what you are seeing, and working your faith. If you get caught up in what you are seeing, that’s a distraction. Hold fast to the promises of God. You see, that distraction is connected to your desires.

The enemy tempts us with what we want. He dangles it in our faces, and when we’re not focused, that temptation becomes a trap, that we waste a lot of time in. Otherwise we could be doing what God has called us to do and excelling. But Even when we fall, God is faithful! It’s important to keep your faith in Him, no matter what you go through.

No devil in hell, can stop us from reaching our destiny in Christ. This world and the things thereof, are temporary. Sometimes we may get weak, but God will give us what we need, for His grace is sufficient.

The Bible tells us that the race is not given to the swift, nor the battle to the strong. (Ecc 9:11) Matthew 24:13 says, “But he who endures to the end shall be saved.”

If you know in your heart, in your mind, and in your spirit, that God has called you for a specific task; hold on! It’s going to take more than ordinary faith for extraordinary tasks! Stay strong. Be encouraged! “Weeping may endure for night but joy comes in the morning.” (Psalm 30:5)

Remember, the end result is worth it. Love you! ❤️

Romans 8:18

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.
