Sometimes when people are hurting, they seek other people for immediate comfort but they end up hurting innocent people as a result of a previous relationship, childhood traumas, or things they’re currently going through. There’s nothing wrong with reaching out for help, a listening ear, or a shoulder to cry on. The problem is when you’re hurting and you do things that negatively affect not only you, but the people around you. The crazy thing about when you’re hurting is, that pain keeps you focused on you. All you can feel is your pain. All you can see is your problems.
If you are hurting in any way, seek help, seek healing, but most importantly, seek God. The peace that Jesus gives is unlike any other. You’ll have the confidence that, although you’re going through, you are coming out, because God is with you. Life will never be problem free, and lashing out on loved ones, or using people as if they are some kind of medicine to help you temporarily relieve your pain, will only cause you more pain. People can only take so much, so treat them like you want to be treated, and if you really care about them, heal first, so that you can love them right, but don’t expect any person to fix you.
No one can deliver you from your inner demons except God and you… 💙
