People are the way they are for a reason.

Confession time… So people who are annoying for no reason irk me… 🤷🏾‍♀️

Believe it or not, I am an introvert! Heavy on the introvert! I love people, but I love my space reserved only for me as well. Anyway, God put some wisdom in my mind tonight. He said, a lot of people who we may consider annoying, don’t try to be annoying, they just want to feel loved.

Sometimes they grow up with a parent or caregiver who was either absent, abusive, or emotionally unavailable, so that annoying person does things to get your attention or love. I’d never thought of this being the reason one might be annoying, but I understand. I try to be understanding more than anything, because understanding helps you keep things in perspective and it helps you exercise patience. Anyway, that’s just something to think about. If some things that people do really gets on your nerves, try to understand why they’re like that.

You can do this by being considerate and respectful and taking a genuine interest in their upbringing. It’s not up to you to save them, or change them, they probably will always be the way they are, but you can learn how to love them better, or be there for them in a way that lets them know they’re safe. You can also pray with them and for them, and pray for yourself that God show you the best way to be there for them and keep your sanity at the same time. It’s easy to look at people on the surface and dislike or judge them for things about them that we don’t understand, but we have to look deeper, and pray that God moves on our heart in a way that brings healing, peace of mind, and growth. ♥️
