Prepare for your blessing, or you’ll miss it!

If you don’t prepare for what you’re praying for, you could miss your opportunity! Now, there are those who will argue, “What God has for me, is for me,” and guess what? I agree, but that still doesn’t mean that people don’t forfeit their blessings every day! Just because something is meant for you, doesn’t negate the fact that, we often miss out on some of the blessings God has stored for us, if you don’t believe me, read your Bible. Things like disobedience, can cause us to miss out on blessings God has for us.

Being unprepared for the blessing we’re praying for, can cause us to miss an opportunity to be blessed. I’m not saying, you’ll never receive the blessing, that’s up to you and your faith. What I am saying, is this, we can definitely delay our blessings. Some people receive their desires quickly, because they’re prepared for them, they put their faith into action, and they pursue their desires through obedience. God sees it, and rewards them. Sometimes, a person can be prepared, and it seems like the blessing is taking forever, all I can say to that is, keep on keeping on, because most of the times, in those cases, your blessing will be greater than you’ve ever expected.

God hears our prayers, and He answers quickly. He doesn’t have to think about it, and get back with us later. In Jeremiah 29:11 God said, “I know the plans I have for you.” That means the blessings are already there. God doesn’t live in a time zone.

You just haven’t arrived to that place of destiny yet! How we use our free will plays a major part on if we are able to receive everything God has for us. Don’t believe me, go read Exodus, or read the whole Bible for that matter! Lol Start at Genesis with Adam and Eve, then make your way to Moses and the children of Israel. Now, I’m not saying that you won’t be blessed, because God is good, His Word says, He is good to the just and the unjust, but there’s a special blessing attached to those who are obedient and prepared for the blessings ahead.

Actually, it’s your obedience that prepares you for the blessings ahead. God’s grace is sufficient, and He will keep you! You can still make it to Heaven even if you missed out on some things that could have been yours on earth. However… I don’t know about you, but I want EVERYTHING God has in store for me. I’m not allowing anything or anyone to stand in my way either… and that includes me!

Matthew 25:1-13

1“At that time the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2Five of them were foolish and five were wise. 3The foolish ones took their lamps but did not take any oil with them. 4The wise ones, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps. 5The bridegroom was a long time in coming, and they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

6“At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! Come out to meet him!’

7“Then all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. 8The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’

9“ ‘No,’ they replied, ‘there may not be enough for both us and you. Instead, go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.’

10“But while they were on their way to buy the oil, the bridegroom arrived. The virgins who were ready went in with him to the wedding banquet. And the door was shut.

11“Later the others also came. ‘Lord, Lord,’ they said, ‘open the door for us!’

12“But he replied, ‘Truly I tell you, I don’t know you.’

13“Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.
