Midday meditation: The power of your mind and your mouth.

Negative words spoken over your life is not your truth. They hold no real power. What does hold power over your life is your mindset and what you choose to think about yourself. In Jeremiah 29:11, the Lord said, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” This scripture is POWERFUL. One of the reasons it’s so powerful is because God is saying, I know the thoughts I think towards you! He doesn’t even acknowledge the thoughts the enemy or the thoughts that people think towards us. He doesn’t acknowledge the fact that we may be facing a certain situation that we can’t see our way out of. He doesn’t acknowledge anything, except His thoughts towards us and His Word. We are created in His image, therefore our thoughts and our words have power! I’m not talking about the negative things that people has spoken over you. I’m not talking about what your situation and circumstances are saying to you. I’m talking about the thoughts in your own mind and the words of your own mouth. These are the things we will be judged by, because our thoughts become our actions and our words become life. What are you creating? Doubt? Fear? Anxiety? Get those words and thoughts out of your heart, mind and your mouth! Get in sync with the Holy Spirit, so that you think like an heir of God. Your mindset and your mouth is what’s going to help you rise above the things around you. Your mindset and your mouth is what’s going to usher you into your breakthrough. The Word tells us, “As a person thinks in his heart, so is he.” – Proverbs 23:7

I encourage you to take some time to evaluate your thoughts and your words. Make sure they align with where you’re going and not where you are.

Psalm 19:14

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
