Hope in a pandemic.

It’s surreal. I feel like I’m in a dream that I’ve yet to wake up from.
Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always had dreams about the end of the world, or I’ve had strange dreams that, let me just say, I was glad to wake up from… but this, this is not a dream, it’s actually happening. This is not a TV show about the apocalypse, or zombies, this is real life, and we’re all locked in our houses trying to avoid this zombie of a virus whose named Covid-19. We’re taking the necessary precautions, not to get bitten by this monster and become its next victim. Although the Coronavirus is scary, the bigger monster is fear. The bigger monster is always the one you can’t see… remember that… Anyway, I’m not making light of this virus because it is definitely real, and sadly it has cost a lot of people their lives, but at the same time, many people have recovered from it as well. So, there is hope; and that is how you defeat fear.
Romans 5:3-5
“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”
Don’t allow this virus, fear or anything you go through to steal your joy! Put your hope in God! Yet praise Him, because even now, He’s still God. Situations change, but our GOD does not. He is still in control. All power is still in His hands, and He and only He will get us through this. We’re not on our own, left to figure things out. All we have to do is go to Him and trust Him. Don’t fear getting sick, don’t fear not being able to pay your bills, don’t fear going hungry, don’t fear dying! Put your hope in God, so no matter what comes your way, God is with you and will see you through. Fear is only a factor when our focus is off. God’s Word is true. He is our source, everything else we have in this life is just a resource. So, don’t live in fear. God is our provider. God is our healer. God is the resurrection and the life. No matter what comes our way, and no matter how long this thing we’re going through takes, we are secured in Him. By HIS stripes, we are healed; spirit, body, nation and land. In Jesus name. 🙏🏾
