Focused.

It’s important to stay focused on God, because if you don’t, ANYTHING can trigger you! You don’t want to be someone who’s emotionally unstable, you want to be someone who’s of sound mind at all times, and someone whose thoughts are governed by the Holy Spirit. So, in order to have that perfect peace in the midst of chaos, you must hold fast to God’s Word. You must believe God’s Word, no matter how you feel or how things look. The enemy will have you look at everything that’s gone wrong in your life. His job is to keep you focused on what you lack, or focused on your failures and disappointments. His job is to allow keep you focused on other people’s blessings, so that you forget to count your own! When you focus on the wrong things, you’ll feel defeated, unfavored and alone. These are reasons that God wants our undivided attention, at all times, because we are not alone! We are more than conquerors and His grace is sufficient! God knows that glorifying our problems and not Him, will cause us to become lost in our feelings and perceptions, instead of walking in the Spirit of Truth. So, focus on God! Another way to stay focused, is to have a heart of gratitude! Praise God at all times. In the good, the bad and the ugly, because you know that all things are working for your good! The Word of God says, in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” Philippians 4:6-7 says, Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Thanksgiving is an act of faith! Whether you are thankful for the blessings you’ve already received or you’re giving God thanks for the blessings you’re about to walk into. When you thank God, you’re acknowledging that your blessings comes from Him! You’re saying, “Jesus, I trust you with my life.” So, stay focused on God, and always have a heart of gratitude and that’s how you overcome the tests and trials of life and keep what you go through, from getting on the inside of you!
