Focus on you.

The way to get over them is to focus on you and God’s plan for your life. Stop worrying about people and things that no longer grow or concern you. When it’s out of your control, put it in God’s hands and focus on the things you can do, like learning and growing and walking in the fullness of who God created you to be. You can’t walk in greatness worrying about what used to be. Yesterday is gone! What are you going to do with what’s left? The Word of God tells us to make the most of today or in better words, make use of the time you have. (See Ephesians 5:16) We can’t get back yesterday. We don’t need yesterday to move forward into what God has for us. The only thing we should take from yesterday is the lesson. We need a heart that’s obedient to God’s will for us. He has a plan for each of our lives, individually, and that plan does not consist of aspiring to be the next person or dwelling on the good old past. The Word of God says, “The latter glory of this house shall be greater than the former, says the LORD of hosts. And in this place I will give peace, declares the LORD of hosts.” – Haggai 2:9 I don’t know about you, but I believe that! God’s plan for each of us is to allow Him to use each of us, at maximum capacity. We all have the potential to be great, but we must stop coveting other people’s greatness and look at the God within us. We must also forget about what we consider our losses, whether it be people or things of this world, because if we no longer have it, we don’t need it. The Word tells us, “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:19 Sometimes we must lose some people, things, and battles in order to become who God created us to be. If we remain too focused on other people or the things of this world, how can we hear from God when it comes to things concerning our own life and the purpose for which He created us as an individual? Don’t worry about other people, focus on you. Get over what this celebrity is doing with their life, or how green your neighbors grass is compared to yours. Get over what your ex is doing now, or material things that you may no longer have compared to the days of your past. Stop looking at how great their life is or how great your life was. This may be a hard pill for someone to swallow but, learn to cut your losses. Sometimes, less is more. You may think some things, and people are great to have but sometimes those things and people aren’t helping you, they’re hindering you. The less mess you have in your life, the more room God has to do the exceedingly abundantly above more than you can ask or think of in your life. ❤️
