Does your image tell your truth?

Some people use others as masks to suppress their inner pain or to cover up their insecurities. Instead of dealing with the past failures or disappointments, insecurities or struggles, they’ll use other individuals who don’t make their pain better, but makes their image appear to be better. We are living in a world where sadly, people care more about what others think of them, than loving and caring for themselves. We’re living in a world that’s all about image, and if you don’t have what the world says you should have in order to be “somebody” then to the world you’re a nobody, and sadly many people judge themselves and others by this worldly standard. These people believe that if they don’t live like the secular world, then they’re a nobody. All of this is a distraction caused by the enemy. Whose goal is to keep you focused on your external image more than you’re focused on building up your inner self, so that he can pretty much control you. If your focus is off, he can get you to neglect your God given assignment (purpose), or he can get you to use your purpose to his advantage instead of glorifying God. If a person believes that this life is the end, they’ll fall for it. We are spiritual beings who are having a natural experience. Hebrews 9:27, “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.” This scripture confirms that this life is not the end, and that we will be held accountable for our actions, but thanks to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, he took our guilt and shame upon himself, and freed us from hell. All we need to do is believe and allow His Spirit to work in us. John 5:24, “Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.” Focus on Jesus, and He will teach you what really matters. He will teach you how to love, His way. He will teach you how to be humble and selfless, knowing that this world is not your home, and your reward is Heaven. He will teach you how to use your gift to give someone else hope. 1 John 2:17, “The world and everything in it that people desire is passing away; but those who do the will of God live forever.” The pleasures of this world are temporary. Do what pleases God. Go to Him and allow Him to get your heart right. Don’t believe that a certain amount of things, money or love from people will heal you, because it won’t. Having all the riches of the world, is not more important than being rich in love, and being known by many people is not more important than being known by God. 1 Corinthians 1:25, “For what seems to be God’s foolishness is wiser than human wisdom, and what seems to be God’s weakness is stronger than human strength.“ Allow God to heal you so that you can really get your shine on, not like the world, but God’s way, which allows you to be the light of Christ in this life and the one to come.
