Square up!

So, today I am moved by the Holy Spirit to have a heart to heart with the body of Christ. During this season of my life, I am learning not to give up so easily. Anything worth having is worth the fight, and we as believers need to get it through our minds that we are most certainly in a fight, daily. You see, we are always looking forward to what’s to come. We are always thinking of the day when this great thing happens in our lives, and I’m not saying that there is anything wrong with expectation, but we are naive to believe that the battle stops, when the blessing begins.

For every new level, there is a devil, a challenge, a fight! The enemy’s goal is to keep you from receiving every good thing that God has in store for you, so he will come at you with doubt and fear during your season of waiting and preparation. When you finally receive what you’ve been praying for, he will use the same spirits he used before, doubt and fear to cause you to think that you’re incapable of managing the blessing God gave to you! Listen, did you hear me? God gave the blessing to you! It’s a gift from Him to you!

Doubt and fear will cause you to use every excuse known to man, to get out of a gift that God has blessed you with. Don’t you know that you were predestined? So, God knew everything about you before He put you in this world! Nothing is impossible for Him. He wants you to know that although the blessing can be overwhelming, in Him you have access to every tool you need to manage what He has given you, like a boss! Remember, you are ultimately responsible for what you do with your gift! Don’t allow obstacles or the unexpected that you’re experiencing while in possession of the blessing, to cause you to think that receiving your blessing was a mistake. Don’t turn what God intended to be a blessing, into a burden. During your season of waiting and preparing, also prepare for the unexpected. Really challenge yourself.

Ask yourself, if the worst happens, will I stay committed to what God has entrusted me with? If you can’t fathom the sacrifice, you may not be ready for the blessing… Don’t shoot me, I’m just the messenger. Prepare for what you’re praying for, and be prepared to fight to keep it!

Luke 12:48(b)

When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required.
